Having tried it a few times, I can say it's challenging getting just the right grey to fit the mood of an image. Your choice of the slightest tint of blue works perfectly, not to mention making the contrast really pop (or seem to, at least... I haven't looked into that much, come to think of it). The alignment of the boater at the tip of one of those points created by the drifting fog and its reflection creates a sense of forward motion rather than a still scene. The picture breathes as a result.
